First and last day in Salvador.
After an early breakfast at 07.30 we went with the bus for a city tour with a very cute and multi-languaged guide.
In the morning we spent most of the city tour in the bus with a few stops, at the fort and the church with the many colorful bonds that probably were the highlight on this tour.
Next stop was a 2-leveled tourist market. Here we got some free time to eat lunch and look around.
Nobody was prepared for the 2-hour walk through the city that followed, and had to survive the day without their phones, when we all thought we were going with the bus again.
Our city tour ended in another of the 374 churches of Salvador.
To everybody’s joy we got 3 hours to do whatever we wanted. There were lots of souvenir shops, cozy cafes and even a music festival in front of the house that Michael Jackson filmed his “They don’t care about us”- music video.
The dinner we had on the 2nd floor next to an outdoor concert, so we could enjoy the music while eating.
Again we had an incredible cultural experience of Brazil when we watched a kind of tradition theater play. Of course it ended with a Capoeira.
We returned at the hotel around 10 PM, after a very long but good day.
